What Must I Do To Be Saved

It was once asked, “What is truth?” The correct response came from Jesus Christ when He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).  Jesus, who is “the truth” spoke these words: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3).

What does that mean for you?

  1. Know and admit that you are a sinner (Romans 3:23).
  2. Repent. This means to stop heading in the sinful direction you are heading in and turn towards God (Acts 20:21).
  3. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Have faith in the fact that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried and rose from the dead (Acts 16:32) (Romans 10:9-10).
  4. Call upon Jesus Christ to become your personal Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:13).

Jesus said, “…him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out” (John 6:37b).  If you turn to Jesus in faith, He will not reject you, but will receive you into the family of God: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” (John 1:12).

To reject Jesus Christ is to reject an eternal home in heaven.

(John 3:36) He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Dear Friend, won’t you call upon Jesus today?

(2 Corinthians 6:2) For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

What to pray:
Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I need your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins, that he was buried and rose again the third day.  I turn to you now.  Jesus, I invite you to be my Lord, my God and my Savior.

If you’ve received Jesus Christ as your Savior, you are now a member of the family of God. Rejoice, for your sins are forever forgiven!
